Determining your Flexibility
Determine if your flexibility and posture is within the normal/acceptable range
*This can be determined by a trainer, physical therapist, or your family physician
*While determining the presence of muscular imbalances is best done in person by a trainer, there is an alternative albeit
not nearly as effective as a trainer. You can get a foam roller and execute rolling of the major muscle groups such as the
hamstrings, calves, quadriceps, lats, and ITB band. When you rolls these particular areas note any hot spots, these are knots
in the muscles and impair the body's ability to move properly. When you find a hot spot you can rock back and forth or just
apply pressure with the roller to the hot spot until the pain reduces. This will help break up the knot.
