Osteoarthritis
Defined as a degenerative joint disease affecting the cartilage, joint lining, ligaments, and bone, leading to pain, swelling, and stiffness of the affected joint(s). (NSCA)

Basic Exercise Guidelines:
- aerobic exercise should be undertaken 3-5 times per week at a light to moderate intensity for 20-30 minutes per session
- resistance training 2 or 3 times per week at a moderate intensity, perform 2-3 sets at 6-8 repetitions in a progressive overload manner
- flexibility training should be done 3-7 days per week performing 3 sets of 1-5 repetitions holding each stretch for 5-30 seconds per stretch
